The Municipal Library as vital element of culture, was inaugurated in 1993. Improving services, providing larger spaces with specialized equipment, was the purpose of their construction.

To qualify for the home loan books and / or educational films (VHF / DVD) just sign up requiring the card reader.

The aim is thus to provide information and knowledge to the community, from the very young to the elderly, promoting the book and reading.

Knowing that reading is a necessary universal right to the growth of the individual and for their active participation in society, the Municipal Library of Felgueiras has an extension working in the Vila de Barrosas-Pólo de Idães, and the city of Lixa-Pólo da Casa da Cultura Leonardo Coimbra, still providing the service of Mobile Library which runs all the local parishes.
